I will bet that you\u2019ve heard and witnessed more times than not someone coming at you with their phone or media device saying, \u201cCheck this out!\u201d. You stand there in awe. Dumbfounded or impressed; not real sure what you have just seen. Your friend is \u201cOne of those people\u201d. Do you tell them it was amazing or do you tell the truth and explain the look on your face?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m here to tell you that there are options. When putting yourself and your business out there into the world one of the most important things you can do is make sure your first impression is a lasting positive impression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do your homework and always know and understand what you are looking at from behind the lens. The vision you have in your mind may not reflect what is happening on video. Jot down notes, is there a script that needs to be followed? Is the writing in the script clear and concise? Are the words easy to pronounce? Does this explain the reason for the video? Is the lighting perfect?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Have a plan in place. Make sure that everyone is ready, informed and possibly trained. I have one big question kicking around. Do you have a camera? 9 times out of 10 the answer is yes, I have an iPhone. Correct, you have a phone it has a camera. This is not the tool for the job. Get yourself a video camera. Small handheld cameras can be inexpensive however renting one may be the most practical option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acquaint yourself with the ins and outs of the shoot. Never forget that hiring a professional is sometimes the best solution. Make sure that the end result is something you\u2019ll be proud to post anywhere and everywhere!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
